Associational News
The Southern Baptist Convention will be held in Orlando, Florida this year. The annual Pastor's Conference starts on June 8 with the Convention itself starting on the 9th. The office will be closed that whole week [June 7-13] as we will be attending the Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders, the SBC, and taking a couple of days of vacation.
At the end of the month, our AM will be on a mission trip helping to build a church in Idaho [June 27 - July 4].
HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT SUMMER AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING ALL THE GOOD REPORTS FROM YOUR VBS's, CAMPS, AND MISSION TRIPS.

David Wilkerson (The Cross and the Switchblade) once asked: "Why Don't Christians Pray?" My answer is - they do pray, but their prayers are limited and mostly focused on the here and now. Rarely do you hear anyone praying for a lost family member or friend. Almost never are God's people praying for laborers in His harvest. Little, if any, praying is done for the spiritual life and health of fellow believers. Why not get past praying for the sick saints!!! Why not pray for things that will echo down the halls of eternity!!! Why not align our prayers with God's agenda!!! When we do, our prayers will take on an urgency. They will become important. And we just might find that we WANT to pray! Brothers and Sisters -- Pray without ceasing. [I Thessalonians 5:17]
