Like everyone else, April is a busy month for our Association. Easter - A Pastor's retirement - Idaho Mission trip planning - A celebration of life service - GBMB Engage Six in Dalton - A Pastor's major surgery - A Pastor's wife surgery - G-groups - LVBA Executive Committee Meeting - NWGA Administration Team meeting - NOBA Summit - GBMB Dental Bus - Georgia Baptist Children's Home collection - LVBA Associational Revival. This is just what is on the calendar as of March 31! BUT this causes us to pause and give thanks because the SAD alternative would be an empty calendar and no opportunities to serve!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
HE'S ALIVE!!!
I believe every Sunday should be a celebration of Christ's resurrection! But I also believe there is just something special about Easter Sunday. For me, it's not the crowds, the new clothes, the Easter baskets, or the candy -- it is the extra focus on the empty tomb, the defeat of death and the grave, and the hope Jesus' resurrection gains for all who will put their faith in Him.
May this Easter find you celebrating Jesus' resurrection full of joy and hope, gathered with the saints in a house of worship!
MATTHEW 28:6 "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said . . ."
